Carla Rossi – Books on Medieval Manuscripts

Carla Rossi is an art historian specialising in medieval manuscripts, manuscript provenance, codicology and digital reconstruction of dismembered codices. Her research focuses on illuminated Books of Hours, dismembered manuscripts, biblioclasm and the historical dynamics of manuscript dispersion across USA collections. Over the past two decades, her work has developed a rigorous methodology combining archival research, palaeography, codicological analysis and digital reconstruction tools.

Her publications contributed to manuscript studies, provenance research and cultural heritage protection, addressing both historical and ethical dimensions of manuscript circulation.
